Rise and Shine Awards honor Valley volunteers

Valley volunteers were recognized during the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network’s 20th Annual Rise and Shine Awards Breakfast, June 7 at Si View Community Center. More than 25 Rise & Shine awards were given out to individual and groups of volunteers during the celebration.
Awardees were nominated by friends, families, colleagues, and neighbors. A Snoqualmie Valley Community Network Board committee selected final recipients.
The following individuals and groups received 2016 Rise & Shine awards:
Fred Bereswill; Susan Brengle; Marcy Candland; Ruth Cruz; Sarah Demopolous; Trissa Dexheimer; Kirk Dunckel, the Professional Legacy Award; Danny Edwards; Morgan Espeland; Shohini Ghosh; Aahir Ghosh; Alison Hawkins; Art Hobbs; Sophie Hunter; Marie and John Jackson; David Kelley; Jeannine Martindale; Kim Piira; Mike Powers, Youth Legacy Award; Becky Reimer; Kara Spalding; Kiana Ward; Don Wycoff; the Cherry Valley Power Pack Team; “Laundry Ladies” Norma Johnson and Linda Crossin; Mount Si Girls Lacrosse; and Rob Wotton and Umpqua Bank, receiving the Kristy Trione Community Partnership Award.
The Snoqualmie Valley Community Network promotes and inspires youth in grades 4-12 to lead safe, healthy, and successful lives. Healthy youth and families are a priority for the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network.
