First primary election results released by King County

Voting in the August 2 primary election has come to a close and preliminary results are now coming in. As of 4:15 p.m on August 4, 324,016 ballots were counted with 113,627 estimated votes left to count. King County Elections have posted the following results for the local legislative and congressional districts:

Legislative District 5 State Senator

Mark Mullet – 10,875 – 50.74 percent

Chad Magendanz – 10,557 – 49.26 percent

Legislative District 5 State Representative Position 1

Jay Rodne – 11,598 – 55.19 percent

Jason Ritchie – 9,512 – 45.06 percent

Legislative District 5 State Representative Position 2

Darcy Burner – 7,848 – 36.7 percent

Paul Graves – 9,945 – 46.5 percent

Matt Larson – 3,593 – 16.8 percent

Legislative District 45 State Representative Position 1

Ramiro Valderrama – 7,792 – 37.85 percent

Roger Goodman – 12,793 – 62.15 percent

Legislative District 5 State Representative Position 2
