Letters | Tolt breakfast diners helped be good neighbors

Published 1:49 pm Tuesday, July 26, 2011

The Pancake Breakfast Committee of Tolt United Church of Christ in Carnation thanks our wonderful community for once again so generously supporting the Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast.

We have held the pancake breakfast for almost 30 years. This year, we served over 600 people at our church in Carnation.  Donations from local businesses including Carnation Ace Hardware, Carnation and Snoqualmie Ridge  IGA, Cherry Valley Family Grocer, Olympic Eagle Distributors, Darigold, Fall City Roadhouse, Ixtapa Carnation,  Fischer Meats in Issaquah, Fred Meyer-Redmond, Safeway of Duvall and North Bend, Trader Joes of Redmond, and QFC Redmond Ridge meant that we could once again put nearly all of our income toward the Good Neighbor Fund for emergency assistance to local families throughout the year.

We look forward to another fabulous breakfast next year…with the support and encouragement of all those who enjoy the pancakes and those who have so readily donated!
