ro-baseball tryouts
The Northwest Scouting Bureau will be hosting a pro-baseball tryout. Representatives from numerous professional baseball teams will be in attendance, as well as collegiate recruiters.
The tryout is open to men ages 15 and older and will be modeled after the Major League Scouting Bureau tryouts. Players who believe they may have a chance to play professional baseball or collegiate baseball should attend and be ready to be timed in the 60-yard dash, hit, pitch, demonstrate field skills and show their bat speed and pitching velocity.
An excellent chance for young players to gain exposure, as many as 30 professional baseball scouts, collegiate recruiters will be in attendance.
Results will be sent free of charge to the Major League Scouting Bureau, the 30 Major League Baseball clubs and more than 600 collegiate programs.
The tryout will be held on Feb. 21 from noon to 4 p.m. at Edmonds Woodway High School football stadium in Edmonds, rain or shine.
All players must call the Northwest Scouting Bureau at (425) 273-6152 to reserve their place. All players must also register online by going to www.northwestscoutingbureau.com and completing registration.
More information can be obtained by calling Mike Hill, scouting director, at (425) 273-6152.
