Confused over Cedar and Cascade counties

I think someone didn’t thoroughly research the activity surrounding Cedar County. House Bill 2074 is in committee to give birth to Cedar County. The proposal is that Cedar County will be all of King County outside the Seattle City limits, making Seattle the future King County. The county seat is proposed to be Kent, present-day site of the Regional Justice Center.
Unless someone wants a third county, I’m confused. A new start-up group is proposing Cascade County. The new proposal is vague and there seems to be no momentum built up so far.
Yes, we want King County and Seattle out of our back yards. To do that, in my opinion, the Cascade group needs to band together with the Cedar group because Cedar County has a chance to come into being.
The idea of a Cedar County has come a long way … let’s get behind it and not split our efforts … there’s power in numbers.
