Slow down

Published 1:08 am Friday, October 3, 2008

I am a very concerned citizen of Fall City about the traffic. I live on the Preston-Fall City Road. Since the closure of 202 to Snoqualmie, the traffic in front of my house has gone from bad to hazardous.

Cars are supposed to go 30 mph. Today the cars were zipping by like they were on a freeway. When a vehicle has to make a left turn, cars turn onto the shoulder to pass. That’s where people are walking. All the drivers just hit their horns and zoom very close to them.

I have called in several complaints, but they seem to fall on deaf ears. I guess the only way the cars are going to be forced to slow down is after someone is killed. I can’t even get out of my driveway anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the cars to stop driving so close to people and to slow down? I feel this is a very big problem and the county could care less.
