The Boeing Classic officially began Friday, Aug. 26, as pros and fans alike came out to the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge for the tournament.

As part of the traditional opening, the PGA tournament started Friday with the Boeing jet flyover; at 11:20 a.m., a Korean Air 747-8 flew over the 18th green to start the competition.

Bernhard Langer won the tournament Sunday, for his fourth first-place finish on the 50-and-over PGA Tour this year. Langer also won the Boeing Classic in 2010.

The annual event was more than just a tournament. The week-long festivities included family and youth activities all week, the Korean Air Pro-Am, and an adaptive clinic for disabled golfers. See more coverage of the Boeing Classic on page 2.
