School district plans parent-child reading workshops; event for Cascade View, Timber Ridge is Thursday

Snoqualmie Valley School District is planning three parent-child reading workshops, with a focus on students who will be starting kindergarten next fall.

Parents are invited to bring their children to one of the workshops, where together they will engage in reading activities that can be done at home to build reading skills.

Workshops are planned for:

5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26, in the Cascade View multipurpose room, for Cascade View Elementary and future Timber Ridge Elementary families;

6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, in the Opstad Elementary School multipurpose room for North Bend Elementary and Opstad Elementary families;

6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, in the Snoqualmie Elementary multipurpose room, for Snoqualmie Elementary and Fall City Elementary families.
