Baker enters firefighter academy

King County Fire District 27 in Fall City is sponsoring a new recruit in the class of 2016 Firefighter Recruit Academy at the Washington State Patrol Fire Training Academy in North Bend.

Shaun Baker joined the program, with 30 other firefighter recruits on Jan. 21. He will complete a a 12-week program that meets National Fire Protection Association 1001 and 472 standards for firefighter professional qualifications. The recruits will learn fire service principles through classroom instruction and rigorous hands-on live fire training.
