Two apprehended in Snoqualmie business burglary Thursday

Snoqualmie Police officers were in the right place at the right time early Thursday, Feb. 18, when two area men broke into Uncle Si’s Pizza on Snoqualmie Ridge.

According to Police Captain Nick Almquist, the burglary alarm at the restaurant was triggered around 2:30 a.m. and “It just so happened that one of our officers was driving up the Parkway around that time and saw two guys running across the Parkway,” so he assumed they were connected.

The two subjects, a Fall City man and a Sammamish man, apparently broke a window to gain access to the restaurant, then took the drawer of the cash register and fled to their car, parked across the parkway in a business parking lot. They then drove into the nearby industrial area, where a search dog, called in by the officer who’d seen the pair running across the road, quickly found them.

“The canine tracked them across the parkway, did a couple of circles in the parking lot where their car probably had been, then took off,” Almquist said. “He walked right up to the car.”

Both men will face second-degree burglary charges.
