Letter | ‘Trail’ has great season, thanks to supporters

What started as a dream six years ago is now an annual Snoqualmie Valley event that gets better every year. This year, we had the good fortune to partner with the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, for the use of their east campus. To say that the audience and performers were impressed, is an understatement. Thank you, Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.
We had over 125 performers, cast, crew and volunteers. The youngest dancer was 8; our oldest volunteers were in their 70’s. Volunteers were from Carnation, Duvall, Fall City, Issaquah, North Bend, Redmond, Seattle and Snoqualmie. We canceled a Saturday show and miraculously, put it together the following Saturday with great success. We raised $8,000 for the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank.
This is a special group who do many wonderful things to make our community a special place to live. By sharing of their time and energies, they make this a better world.

Sure, it is only a local “haunted” trail, it is only a Halloween-themed show, it is crazy to stand out in the rain, but it is people working together, striving to do their best, plus laughter, tears, the challenge and the gut feeling that we did something special.
The shows will get better, but we will never have a better group of people and the blessings of so many talents. To our audience, sponsors and volunteers, thank you so much.
