Powerful new talents shine at Wildcat Idol show | Slideshow

Thirteen high school-age performers showed their vocal talents last Friday, Jan. 31, in the second round of the 11th annual Wildcat Idol competition.

A vote by the audience of parents, students and community members sent three groups—soloists Sydnee Springer-Simon and Wilkins Melgaard and duo Madelynn Esteb and Emilia Glaser.

Esteb and Glazer received the most votes in the final round of three, and were praised by a judging committee that included several teachers, Valley artist Liam Wright, and Matt Bishop, lead singer of Hey Marseilles.

Emcees Morgan Myers and Micah Smith host the show.

Natalie Werner and Alex Killian perform their song, “Home.”

Sophomore Riley Harrington performs “Human”;

Jonica Beatie and Brooke Beatie, in Seahawks colors, sing “Wide Awake”;
