North Bend student wins Cricket award

Rileigh Shelton, 12, of North Bend, received honorable mention in the January 2013 Cricket League poetry competition. She submitted an original poem, called “The Frog Whisperer.”

Rileigh’s name appears in the Cricket League section of the April 2013 Cricket magazine. The poem is posted at www.cricketmagkids.com/contests.

Cricket  features short stories, poems, and articles by children’s authors and is illustrated by artists from around the world.
