Budget cuts will be hard on family

I am very scared of what IFS (individual and family services program) cuts will do, not only to our state, but more significantly, my family. Having a child with disabilities is both physically and emotionally taxing. My two sanity savers are playing soccer each week and having time to breathe by myself, recharge my batteries and keep being a good mother, caregiver, wife and friend.
If our family loses IFS funding, our budget will not allow for breathers, recharging or medical equipment and therapy not covered by our insurance. Not only will my daughter not get the best care, but our whole family will feel the consequences. Because of the fact that we all contribute in some way to our communities, this will also impact our entire state.
There is no way that more families struggling in so many ways can possibly be a benefit to our state. Rethink these budget cuts and do the right thing for families with more than their share of stress and challenges.
