The old adage, “Use what you’ve got,” is sound advice.

The city of North Bend is taking this wisdom to heart in its new initiative to brand and market itself regionally and locally.

This effort shows ambition and foresight, which will help ensure a positive future for North Bend.

With a focus toward the many activities that draw people here from throughout the region, this branding campaign will also reflect the city’s vision of the future and its parallel commitment to the natural resources around it.

At the same time, North Bend is also now embarking on a path to manage its future growth in a directed and balanced manner.

In doing so, the city is establishing an ethos that emphasizes the natural gifts that set it apart from so many other communities in Washington.

North Bend’s effort, putting the focus squarely on the many qualities that have always drawn people to this Valley, is the right idea.
