Valley elk group
continues work
An organization of citizens that is examining elk in the Valley, the Upper Snoqualmie Valley Elk Management Group, will be holding its monthly meeting, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the North Bend library.
The group, which now has a Web site, www.SnoqualmieValleyElk.org, has a mission to work collaboratively to manage elk for a variety of recreational, educational, and aesthetic purposes including hunting, scientific study, cultural and ceremonial uses by Native Americans, wildlife viewing and photography.
Loos earns finance award
Scott Loos, finance manager for the Si View Metropolitan Park District, has received the Professional Finance Officer award from the Washington Finance Officer’s Association. This annual award recognizes achievements of professional service and ongoing continuing education and training, and is not automatically awarded.
The Washington Finance Officer’s Association is a professional association of finance officers from towns, cities and governments in Washington.
