Student safety is first priority of district

The Snoqualmie Valley School District transportation department is now ready to transport your children. Mechanics and staff used the summer months to do major maintenance and cleaning on the buses so they’ll run safely and dependably during the school year. The school bus drivers have taken their required in-service class this summer, including safety items and student behavior management techniques.
Your children’s safety is the main concern of the transportation department. We would like to remind all parents, as well as motorists in the community, to be aware of the children on the roadways walking to and from school and waiting for school buses. With the excitement of the new year, children do not always watch for traffic. Please watch for them and use extra caution.
Please discuss with your children the importance of proper behavior on the buses, making their ride a safe and happy one. Remember our bus drivers transport the most precious cargo in the world, your sons and daughters.
