I urge Snoqualmie residents to vote for both Colleen Johnson and Frank Lonergen in the upcoming Snoqualmie City Council race. Both incumbents have been hard working, open minded, conscientious council members for a number of years. Both Colleen and Frank have sought out citizen opinions on issues and have responded to citizen concerns.
Colleen has been a member of the Snoqualmie City Council for 16 years, and a reserve police officer for 17 years. She was raised in Snoqualmie and raised her five kids in Snoqualmie. My personal observations of Colleen at community meetings and City Council meetings are that she is a strong independent leader. She listens and takes seriously the citizen comments presented. She does not rubber stamp proposals that come before her or make up her mind before she received citizen input. She can’t be pushed around. Mayor Fletcher and others will tell you that Colleen gets along with other city officials and co-workers.
Colleen’s opponent, Matt Larson, cannot come close to matching Colleen’s record for public service or listening and responding to citizen concerns. I have seen Matt berate my neighbors for expressing opinions different than his. He has also refused to recuse himself from decisions on the Planning Commission on which he has taken positions prior to public testimony.
Colleen and Frank’s interests are your interests. They have represented you well and will continue to do so. Please vote for them on Tues. Nov. 6.
