No need to fuss

What is the fuss about this Tollgate development? The city of North Bend has a track record of allowing this type of development to occur throughout its boundaries.

We have seen city planners allow multiunit high-density homes to go up on a pristine mountainside (Forster Woods), as well as the creation of another high-density tract on the city’s one and only golf course (Si View).

So I ask, what’s the big deal about building on a manure patch between two highways?

Our county executive, Mr. Sims, has had an all-out war on farmers for years. Since North Bend officials have always been in lockstep with Mr. Sims on his land-use policies, they now have a chance to do away with one of those pesky manure-producing farms and replace it with a nice, clean industrial park.
