Festival scheduling problem

Well, another Snoqualmie Railroad Days has come and gone. It seemed to go fairly well again this year with the exception of something that happened on Sunday during the Classic Car Show.
The hosting car club, The Legends, started announcing the winners of the raffles and awards at the car show. Approximately 10 minutes into this, the Doug Lynn band started to play and drowned out the announcer from the car club. Several participants from the car show approached the members in the band and asked if they could hold off on playing until the presentation had been completed. The members in the band who were approached about this refused, and some did so in somewhat of a rude manner.
The Legends Car Club has done an outstanding job of drawing people to the Valley with its classic cars. This year’s car show was bigger and better than last year’s. I could be wrong but to me one of the main draws on Sunday is the car show, which I’ve participated in during the past two years.
I might say on behalf of the Legends Car Club that too many more incidents like this one with the Doug Lynn band and they won’t be drawing the people to the Valley with their cars, but driving them away. I’ll be right with them because there are too many car shows out there where you don’t have to put up with this.
