Councilman deserves praise

On Monday, Feb. 5, I attended a meeting of the Metropolitan King County Council during its deliberations over the updates to the 2000 comprehensive plan. I came away from that meeting thankful that our district is represented by David Irons.
During discussion of possible amendments, Mr. Irons again and again demonstrated an ability to balance the issues of rural property rights and protection of the lifestyle with which we who live in rural King County are blessed.
While others were willing to cast aside citizen concerns regarding the protection of our civil property rights, Mr. Irons made the case for protecting rural areas and was often successful. Please join me in congratulating David Irons for being the kind of elected official that rural residents in King County deserve.
