Lady `Cats suffer loss to Skyline

The Mount Si varsity girls’ basketball team lost to the

Skyline Spartans last Wednesday despite strong offensive

performances by Nicci Landdeck, Kristen Travis and

Lizzie Finnegan. The three hoopsters combined efforts to post 34 of

the teams’ 43 points.

Ray places in all four events

Lindsay Ray, a senior, placed in all four events in Mount

Si’s gymnastic loss to Sammamish Wednesday night. Ray placed

4th in the floor exercise and on vault, 5th on the parallel bars and

6th on the balance beam. Unfortunately, Ray’s overall placing

of 4th for the team was not enough to squeak out a win for the

Wildcats. Ray still has one more meet before she says goodbye to

her teammates.

Skyline J V beats Mt Si

The Mount Si junior-varsity boys’ basketball team

recorded another loss last week when they were defeated by Skyline

60-58. The loss gives the team a 9-4 season record to date. Top scorers

for the Wildcats were Jacob Waggoner with 11, and

Scott Johnson and Bryan Gabriel with nine each. Jake Waggoner,

Joel Hendricks, John Karlen and Jeremy Johnston each had four

rebounds. Johnson also had 4 blocked shots. Gabriel had nine

assists and Johnson had four.
