Mount Si wins first game

The Mount Si Wildcat baseball team won its first game of the season last Wednesday against Franklin Pierce by a score of 2-1.

Coach Gary McGregor said the team played very well for their first game, and he gave special kudos to the pitching staff. The platoon of Bryce Kaestner, Dan Flood, Nick Harpel, Mike Dahm and Tyler Osborn only allowed Franklin Pierce three hits and one run, and Osborn struck out two of the last three batters in the seventh inning, his first time on the mound in varsity pitching.

Game highlights included Marc Dahm’s second base steel in the first inning, and his triple in the second inning.

Mike Dahm had four at bats and two hits, and Marc Dahm and Aaron Svarthumle each scored runs.
