Fall sports turnout
Aug. 20 is the first day of turnout for fall sports. If your student plans to participate, they will have to have their paperwork completed prior to that date. Fall sports include football, volleyball, girls’ soccer, boys’ tennis, boys’ golf, and girls’ and boys’ cross country.
Every student must also purchase an Associated Student Body card for $25 prior to participation. In addition, a sports physical or update and an updated Emergency Information Form are required. Physicals are good for 13 months. All forms are available in the main office.

Assistant coach needed
Mount Si High School is seeking applicants for the position of assistant volleyball coach to help the head volleyball coach with the C-team. The season begins Aug. 21, and lasts through Oct.

The position will remain open until filled and interviews will be conducted in Aug.
Improve your soccer skills
The Lower Valley Youth Programs, in cooperation with Skyhawks is offering a soccer camp to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 20 through 24 at the Duvall Fields on Northeast 138th and Carnation-Duvall Road.

Girls’ basketball camp offered
The Basketball School of Instruction is offering beginning and intermediate lessons for girls in grades fifth through 11th from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sundays, Sept. 9 through Nov. 11th. Classes are designed to help build game confidence. To register, call (425) 744-1860.
Golf benefits local youth
The Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis Club is holding its annual golf tournament on Sept. 27 at the Mount Si Golf Course. Prizes will be awarded for all skill levels and the cost is $45 per person, or $180 per foursome. The tournament proceeds will go to the Kiwanis Scholarship Fund for Valley youth. A grand prize of a new car from Chaplin’s North Bend Chevrolet Oldsmobile will be awarded to the first person to score a hole in one on the 11th tee.
