Sign up for football camp

The Wildcat Booster Club will be hosting a football camp for students going into seventh and eighth grade. The camp will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 30 through Aug. 2 at Mount Si High School. Coaches from Mount Si, Chief Kanim Middle School and Snoqualmie Middle School will be working the camp. All participants must have an updated physical and provide proof of insurance. This year’s camp will be full-contact, and players will be issued their gear from 1 to 4 p.m. July 29 at their respective middle schools.

Team seeks softball players

Extreme Heat, a girls’ 16UA softball team, will be holding tryouts for all positions on July 28, 29 and on Aug. 4. The certified coaching staff also includes college players.

Hub offers summer fun

The Snoqualmie Valley Youth Hub is offering a wide variety of summer and sports camps now through Aug. 17.

Hub sports camps include golf and basketball, as well as Skyhawks Sports Camps such as soccer, baseball and mini-hawk, which is a sampling of soccer, baseball, basketball and roller hockey in one camp.

Hub summer camps will have a number of different activities to keep kids busy. There will be swimming, bowling, basketball and hiking, along with field trips to the Seattle Center, Woodland Park Zoo, The Family Fun Park in Tukwila and Wild Waves in Federal Way.

Golf to benefit booster club

The Wildcat Booster Club is sponsoring an 18-hole golf tournament Aug. 9 at Mount Si Golf Course to benefit the Mount Si Wildcat boys’ basketball and golf teams.

The format is a four player shot gun/scramble and awards and prizes will be given out at the end of the tournament. The registration deadline is Aug. 5 and costs $60 per person. An entry form with the names of the players, their United States Golf Association handicap or typical 9-hole course score and entry fees can be made payable to Wildcat Booster Club and sent to Wildcat Golf Tournament, 29224 N.E. Tolt Hill Road., Carnation, WA 98014.

Sign up for runs/ walk

Registration is still being accepted for the Alpine Days 10K run, 5K run and 5K walk for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 11. All three races will start and end at the Factory Stores at North Bend. Registration fees on or before July 31 are $20 with a T-shirt and $25 after. For kids 12 and under, registration is $10 on or before July 31 and $15 after.

Tournament to benefit Rotary

The eighth annual Rotary Golf Classic to be held at 8 a.m. Friday Aug.10 at Mount Si Golf Club is accepting registrations for $89 per player. The format is a shot gun and four-man scramble that will benefit the Snoqualmie Valley Rotary Youth Scholarship Fund. There will also be a hole-in-one contest sponsored by ChaplinOs Automotive Group of North Bend. The first person to hit a hole-in-one on the 11th hole wins a new 2001 Chevrolet Blazer. A continental breakfast and lunch by Adairs On The Green will also be served.
