Register now for Fun Run

The Fall City Days Fun Run and Walk to be held at 9 a.m. June 16 in Fall City is now holding registration. The event will consist of a 5- and 10-kilometer run and a 5-kilometer walk that will begin and end at Oliver Taylor Quigley Park in Fall City. The race fee is $16 with a T-shirt and $10 without. Registration for kids 14 and under is $10 with a T-shirt and $5 without. Day-of-race fees increase to $20 with a T-shirt and $15 without for adults, and $12 and $7 for kids.

Registration can be done online at www.racecenter.com, through the mail, or at the Foot Zone in Issaquah and at the Redmond Towne Center, Super Jock and Jill at Green Lake in Seattle, Fast Lady Sports in Redmond and University Village in Seattle, Big Dog Sportswear in North Bend, Mountain View Nutrition Center in Fall City, the Colonial Inn in Fall City, or on race day beginning at 7:30 a.m. Mail-in registration can be sent to Fun Run, 32858 SE 47th Place, Fall City, WA 98024.

Mount Si girls host tournament

The Mount Si girls’ basketball team will host a two-day basketball tournament to benefit the Mount Si basketball program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at Mount Si High School. Sixteen teams from around the state, including Inglemoore, Ellensburg, Skyline, Sammamish and Juanita, will participate in the fund-raiser. Tickets are $3 per day.

Show off your baseball skills

The Baseball Factory, the leading college-placement service for high-school baseball players, is conducting a one-day showcase for players on June 25 at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. This event will draw local college coaches and professional scouts who will evaluate players that aspire to play at the next level.

Mount Si hosts b-ball camp


The Mount Si girls’ hoop camp is accepting applications for girls in grades 3 through 9. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 25-28 at the Mount Si High School gymnasium.

Players will learn skill development, team concepts and sportsmanship through daily games and competitions. Mount Si coaches and players will teach the camp.

Players should bring athletic clothing, basketball shoes, a lunch and a water bottle. The registration fee is $50 before June 15, and $55 after June 15 or at the door. Checks can be made payable to Mount Si Girls Basketball Camp and sent to 43010 S.E. North Bend Way, No. 47, North Bend, WA. 98045.

Soccer camp sign-ups


The Snoqualmie Valley Youth Soccer Association will be sponsoring three day camps this summer.

Northwest Soccer Camp is in its 29th year of offering quality instruction and will host two half-day camps from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 23-27 at Snoqualmie Elementary School. To obtain a registration form, please call (206) 281-2904 or visit the Website at www.nwsoccer.org.

New to the Valley this year is Challenger British Soccer Camp. These camps will give children a week of coaching and confidence building from a staff of specially-trained British soccer athletes. The two half-day camps will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 9-13 at the new soccer fields on Snoqualmie Ridge, and July 30-August 3 at McDonald Park in Carnation.
