Wrestling tournament scheduled
The Western Washington Kids Wrestling
Association (WWKWA) will be holding an “end of the season” league
tournament on Saturday, Jan. 20, at Tolt Middle School in Carnation.
The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. and have
competitors from Federal Way, Renton, Bellevue, Kirkland, Bothell
and Carnation. All wrestlers will be between the ages of 4 and 11
years old, with a variety of experience.
There will be concessions and a raffle. Admission is free, so
head to Carnation to watch the world’s oldest sport. For more

Select tryouts
The North Bend Select Baseball team will be holding
tryouts for its Bronco Division. Any child age 11 to 12 is eligible.
The tryouts will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, in the
Chief Kanim Middle School gymnasium. League age is
determined by how old the player is as of July 31. Space is limited, so call
(425) 974-7050, extension 4573 to reserve your spot.

Little League sign-up
From 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, February 10, the North Bend Depot will be the place
for Valley Little League players anticipating dusty diamonds
and sunburned noses to sign-up. Tryouts will be held in March
and opening day will be March 31. Managers, coaches and other
volunteers are invited to join.
