Jacobsen named to all-tournament team

Former Mount Si basketball star and North Bend resident

Mick Jacobsen was selected to the Willamette University John

Lewis Classic All-Tournament team representing Western Baptist

College. Jacobsen helped lead the Warriors to a second place tourney finish.

Western Baptist defeated Southern Oregon University 77-56 last

week, then lost in the championship game to Linfield College 85-70.

Jacobsen, at 6-foot-5 post player scored 32 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in

the two games. He shot 71 percent, 12-for-17, from the field and was

eight for nine from the line. Mick also claimed three assists and had

three blocked shots.

Jacobsen is currently averaging 12.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per

game for the Warriors. His team went 7-4 overall and is currently ranked

13th in the NAIA Division II top 25. The Warriors are members of the

Cascade Collegiate Conference, which is made up of NAIA institutions in

Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
