Boys blast Lower Valley rivals
The Mount Si boys’ varsity basketball team hosted its
Lower Valley rivals last Friday night but weren’t the most gracious
of hosts, sending the Red Wolves home with a 68-49 loss.
The Red Wolves held close in the first quarter, behind by
only four. The `Cats opened up the game in the second quarter and
in the third, knocked down 23 points to the Red Wolves’ seven.
Scoring for Mount Si were Logan Ratcliffe with nine,
Brett Bergstrom with six, Isaiah Cormier with 15, Marc
Dahm, with nine, Sean Fallows with seven, Mike Dahm with 18,
Brian Gabriel with three and Jeremy Johnston with one.
For Cedarcrest, Isaac Sprague had one, Brett deVries had
four, Jeffery Coy sank seven, James Conrick had 13, Nick Rich
had four, Chris Kracht recorded 16, Brian Stevenson had two
and Kyle Eldred had two.
Wildcats down Wolves for first place
The Mount Si Wildcats girls’ varsity basketball team took on
a tough rival in Cedarcrest last week, but walked away as
victors 45-36. The win put the Wildcats in sole possession of first
place, ahead of Cedarcrest in the Valley division.
Scoring for Mount Si were Nicci Landdeck with eight,
Cari Smith with two, Angela Jones with five, Landa Pastrana with
two, Kristen Travis with seven, Lizzie Fennegan with four and
Moriah Hover with 17.
For Cedarcrest, Sarah Gustat had seven, Angeuli Brady
had four, Libbye Haddon had seven, Rachel Salz 10, Amber Sutter
four and Lindsay Peterson four.
