The cause of death of a man found at the bottom of Snoqualmie Falls last Monday was ruled a suicide, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s office.
Tacoma resident Michael Bolyard’s body was spotted at 6:23 a.m. on March 20 by an employee from Puget Sound Energy who was doing a routine check of the area.
Snoqualmie Police reported that the man was found in a pink rabbit suit, though police have not yet determined why the man was wearing the outfit nor why he was in the area.
The victim’s belongings have been released to his next of kin.
Results of a complete toxicology report will reportedly be available in eight to 10 weeks.
“We have talked to the family,” said Police Chief Jim Schaffer. “There’s nothing obvious at this point. We have not found anything to indicate foul play.”
Police expect to know more at the end of this week after further investigation.
