The sun peeked out Saturday, June 14 for the 37th annual Fall City Days festival, which included a fun run, parade, basketball tournament, arts and crafts vendors, and a watermelon-eating contest.

A favorite attraction for children was the junk chimes, a collection of discarded goods just begging to be beaten by drumsticks. Nearby, world music band Children of the Revolution offered a less cacophonous sound.

Missing was the annual Ducky Derby; dangerous river conditions prompted organizers to postpone it until later this summer.
