Mount Si’s JV volleyball team ties for fifth in Saturday tournament play

Mount Si's junior varsity volleyball team competed Saturday, Oct. 15 in the JV tournament at Bothell High School. In the 16-team tournament, the girls ended up second in pool play to advance to the gold bracket in the tournament finals, and finished tied for fifth overall.

Mount Si’s junior varsity volleyball team competed Saturday, Oct. 15 in the JV tournament at Bothell High School. In the 16-team tournament, the girls ended up second in pool play to advance to the gold bracket in the tournament finals, and finished tied for fifth overall.

Playing each opponent for only two games, Mount Si beat Roosevelt, 25-19 and 22-25, then tied Edmonds-Woodway 25-27 and 27-25. In the final match, the girls lost to Bothell, 25-22 and 17-25

Among the player highlights in the tournament, Jessica Hanners made 38 assists, Annalise Jensen had 36 kills.
