A Cedarcrest High School student, Kelly Hall, is hosting a 5k run and walk as a fundraiser, starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at McCormick Park in Duvall.

The event was created to help fund and support the ongoing search for a world without cancer, Hall said. Proceeds will go to Seattle Children’s Hospital’s uncompensated care division, which supports families who can’t afford medical care and cancer treatment.

Hall is also partnered with Strong Against Cancer, an organization funding cancer research.
