There’s something new for athletes to do in the 2010 Carnation Fourth of July party.

This year’s festivities bring on the first-ever “Just Moo it” 3-on-3 Tournament, 1 p.m. Sunday, July 4, between the Sno-Valley Senior Center and City Hall.

Matt Coltom is the mastermind of the new event. He wanted to incorporate sports and recreation for all ages into the festival.

Divisions include adult men, co-ed, women 15 years and older; and youth (boys and girls) in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Teams will also have the choice to compete competitively or recreationally.

Tournament entry is $40 per team, with at least three but no more than four players on each roster. Each team member will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag for their participation.

The championship court will be at Tolt-MacDonald Park, where the Fourth festivities continue, wrapping with the fireworks display at dusk.
