Chief Kanim Middle School basketball battles Twin Falls

The Chief Kanim Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball teams won hard-fought battles against two tough Twin Falls Middle School teams on Feb. 23.

The seventh grade team won 48-28, while the eighth grade team won 50-46 with an all-out defensive effort.

Seventh grade stars included Curtis Handy with 19 points and 10 steals, Cade Renicker with 11 points, Will Raymond with five points, Bjorn Stai with four points, Royce Shuartzenberger with three points, Troy Chriest with two points, Jason Chapman with two points and Bobby Thompson with two points.

Eighth grade standouts included Jackson Nelson with 19 points, Jordan Chapman with seven points, Jack Hunt with six points and 11 rebounds, Jameson Showers with six points and 10 rebounds, Alex Dolewski with four points, Jake Archambeau with six points and Ethan Seneker with two points.
