Impressive wins for Chief Kanim girls

The Chief Kanim Middle School seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams ended their seasons Thursday, Jan. 7, with wins against Snoqualmie Middle School.

Seventh grade girls won 26-9, and the eighth grade team won 24-11. Both teams executed their offense, coaches said.

Seventh grade standouts included Kennedy McCann with 15 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, Hannah Taylor with four points and six steals, Kayla Steilen with two points, Kenzie Popp with two points, Sarah Brevik with two points, and Kenzie Kendall with two points.

Eighth grade stars included Nikki Carrol with 12 points, Sophia Rouches with four points and seven steals, Jenny Carrol with four points, Leah Corra with three points and seven rebounds, and Jesse Guyer with one point.
