October 27, 2009 · 1:58 PM
Kimberly Forster of Fall City competed with Team Morgan in an international saddle seat competition, held this summer in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Competing against a team from South Africa and an American Saddlebred team, the seven riders from Team Morgan earned the gold medal and was the overall high-point team.
Forster, a 17-year-old high school senior at Chrysalis School in Woodinville, was selected in July to be a member of the team. Team Morgan is an international multi-discipline competition program that promotes the breed through international competition and provides educational experiences to Morgan youth ages 13 to 21. Its mission is to promote the breed through international competition and provide educational experiences to Morgan youth. In March, members of the previous Team Morgan traveled to Middelburg, South Africa, to compete against the South African Boerperd Amateur Union (SABAU).
