The Sahara Bears 12-year-old Snoqualmie Valley softball team capped a perfect 16-0 season in league by winning the Tiger Invitational, July 11 and 12, at Marymoor Park in Redmond. The Bears defeated the Mukiteo Rush 13-3, outscoring their opponents 62 to 29 to win their ninth championship. The team is invited to play in the 12-year-old World Series in Steamboat Springs, Colo., next month. That event features the top 65 teams in the United States.
