Gymnasts compete at state meet

Three local gymnasts from Puget Sound Gymnastics and Dance competed in the Level 7 State Gymnastics tournament, held Saturday, March 28 at Seattle Pacific University.

Competing in the Junior B 11- and 12 year-old age group, Mikaelyn Davis had a season record all-around score of 37.15, earning her a third place finish. In her individual events, she placed first in vault with a 9.625, third in bars with a 9.1, ninth in beam with a 9.2, and fourth in floor with a 9.225.

In the Senior A 12- and 13-year-old category, Elyssa Roeder also had a personal season record all-around score of 35.725, earning her a 14th place finish. She placed 11th in the beam with a 9.2, and 17th in the floor with a 9.05.

In the Senior B 13 and 14 age group, Carissa Castagno had an all-around score of 33.075, and placed 13th in the vault with a 9.3.
