Flood cancels sports
January 13, 2009 · 2:24 PM
The historic floods that affected large areas of the Valley wiped out a number of Mount Si High School sports events last week.
Mount Si boys and girls’ basketball games last Friday, Jan. 9, against Juanita, the gymnastics meets last Thursday, Jan. 8, against Eastlake, Bellevue and Inglemoor and last Friday against Liberty, and the wrestling meets last week were all casualties of the record flooding, which swamped much of downtown Snoqualmie, Fall City, Carnation and some portions of North Bend, and caused the washout of Highway 202 just east of the Highway 203 junction just outside of Fall City.
There is no immediate word on when events will be rescheduled.
