Gymnasts fall just short to Mercer Island

The Mount Si gymnastics team came closer than ever to pulling an upset over the Mercer Island Islanders but fell just short, 141.60 to 148.70.

Georgia Reynolds took second overall in the meet with a score of 34.500, to the Islanders' Laura Maruhashi, who scored a 35.70. Reynolds took second on the vault with a score of 9.00, third on the bars with a score of 8.10, second on the beam with a score of 8.40 and second on the floor with a score of 9.00. Rachel Karavias took third overall for the Wildcats with a score of 31.30. Karavias took fourth on the vault with a score of 8.50, fourth on the bars with a score of 6.80, third on the beam with a score of 8.00 and fifth on the floor with a score of 8.00.
