Wildcats fall to Sammamish
in boys' tennis
The Mount Si Wildcats ventured into Totem territory Thursday
night and came away with a 6-3 loss. The team did well in doubles play,
taking all three matches. Unfortunately, the Wildcats dropped all six
singles games.
In doubles, the winners were Todd Barry-Heath Jones, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4
over Joseph Shao-Chris Stocker; T.J. Johnson-Jacob Waggoner, 6-3, 6-7,
6-4 over Jason Chen-David Shih; and Andon Erickson-Ben DeBoer, 6-2,
2-6, 6-4 over Eric Druse-Adam Lowe.
In singles play, Barry fell to Stephen Lu, 6-0, 6-0; Waggoner
to Peng Tea, 6-0, 6-0; Johnson to Drew Eicher, 6-0, 6-0; Jacob Morgan
to Jimmy Shen, 6-2, 6-2; Heath Jones to Eddie Lu, 6-1, 6-2; and
Brandon Bumpus lost to Huy Duong, 6-1, 6-4.
The Wildcats hosted the Liberty High School tennis team this
past Tuesday night. Their next meet is today, Sept. 23, at Mercer Island.
