Red Wolves, Wildcats place in medalist tourney

A field of 60 golfers took to the fairways at Snohomish Golf

Course on Tuesday, Oct. 12, for the KingCo 3A medalist tournament. When

the last player had cleared the 18th green, a total of five Mount Si and

Cedarcrest golfers had qualified for the SeaKing district playoffs.

Newport's Charles Koh placed first with a round of 74, and was

followed by Mount Si's Sean Armstrong, with a 75. The first Cedarcrest

player to finish in the top ten was Marc Medley, who recorded a 76, good for

a fourth place. The Red Wolves' Sean Beveridge placed 10th with a

round of 79, while Mount Si's Eric Larson and Sean Fallows placed 23rd

and 24th, with scores of 81 and 82 respectively.

The top 24 finishers moved on to the SeaKing districts, held

Monday, Oct. 18, at Rainier Golf Club.

Three golfers awarded

all-league honors

Two Mount Si and one Cedarcrest golfer were accorded all-KingCo

3A honors last week, following conclusion of the regular season and

medalist tournament play.

Representing the Wildcats on the first team were Sean Armstrong

and Sean Fallows. Cedarcrest's Marc Medley was named to the second team.
