Mud Bowl scheduled
October 2, 2008 · Updated 10:03 PM
The public is cordially invited to the 10th _ or so _ annual "Mud
Bowl," scheduled for this Saturday at the Snoqualmie Valley Riding Club.
The event is scheduled to kick off at 9 a.m.
According to organizer Ed Evans of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints, the football game is not a church-related activity per se,
but more of a chance for a bunch of fathers and sons _ and maybe even
some daughters _ to get out and slop around on the field of spirited competition.
"We've been doing this for about 10 years, and traditionally, the
field's a real mess," commented Evans. "Right now, it sounds like the
weatherman is going to give us exactly what we're looking for."
Evans added the group greatly appreciates the riding club's donation
of their field for the annual sporting event.
