The Mount Si soccer team ended its regular season last Thursday with a win against cross-Valley rival Cedarcrest.

This victory, coupled with Liberty's win over Sammamish that same night, bumped the Wildcats into third place in the division standing, and was good enough for the last spot in the 3A KingCo League playoffs, which began on Tuesday against Mercer Island.

Cedarcrest placed fourth in the 3A KingCo Valley Division and did not advance to the playoffs.

Both teams played a hard-fought game on Thursday, but it was Mount Si who came out firing. Jeff Stone scored the first goal for the Wildcats on a penalty kick in the 12th minute of the game.

Drew Arenth had the next goal four minutes later off a pass from Nick Martindale. The final score was 2-0.
