It's time for 'Battle of the Birds'

The annual fall sports "Battle of the Birds" is quickly approaching. Chief Kanim and Snoqualmie Middle School will both put their volleyball and football programs on display for the public with evening contests at Mount Si High School.

The volleyball matchup is set for Monday, Oct. 28. The excitement will start at 6 p.m. with the seventh-grade varsity in the main gym and junior-varsity teams competing in the back gym. Following the seventh-grade and junior-varsity match will be the eighth-grade varsity match in the main gym.

The varsity football game between the Hawks and the Eagles will be played at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Mount Si's stadium. Both schools have established themselves as elite teams in their league.

Admission for both contests will be $2 for adults and high-school students, $1 for elementary- and middle-school students without an ASB card and free to middle-school students with an ASB card. Children under the age of six will also be admitted free if accompanied by a paying adult. All proceeds will benefit the volleyball and football programs at both middle schools.
