Despite Interlake winning five out of the nine matches actually wrestled, the Mount Si Wildcats moved to a record of 2-0 with last week's 50-24 defeat of the Saints. Chris Ippolito and Matt Haas both had pins for Mount Si to lead the effort.

At 125 pounds, Stu Trombley won by forfeit to start the meet. Andy Lund followed suit behind Trombley, winning the 130-pound class by forfeit as well for Mount Si.

The first match of the night was between the Wildcats' Jordan Prior and Interlake's Nathaniel Sorensan. Prior immediately took Sorensan to the mat, then scored a quick three-point nearfall. From there he worked the Saint, allowing him to get up after each takedown and eventually scoring enough points for a technical fall at the end of the first round, 16-0.

Ben Steel didn't have it quite as good in the 140-pound class for Mount Si. His opponent, Llous Tadman, took Steel to the mat twice in the first round. In the second, Tadman scored a three-point nearfall and eventually pinned the Wildcat with 1:32 left in the third round. The pin put Interlake on the board with Mount Si leading 16-6.
