Yosef Yetneberk's two goals helped the Mount Si Wildcats to a 2-2 tie against the Interlake Saints in Kingco 3A conference boys' soccer action last Thursday at Mount Si High School. But it was Yetneberk's controversial red card in the 61st minute that could find him suspended for the remainder of the season if he receives another.

"Yeah, that game got a little bit out of hand. Those things happen sometimes, it's unfortunate," said Mount Si coach Tom Bialek.

Jeff Northey and Tatsuo Aoki scored the two Interlake goals, but Yetneberk's red card and resulting ejection was the pinnacle of what turned out to be a rough second half for both teams.

The only comment Bialek was willing to make about the incident was to explain that Yetneberk would miss the following game.

Washington Interscholastic Activities Association rules dictate that there is an automatic one-game suspension for any player who is assessed a red card during a match. If Yetneberk were to receive another red card during a future game this season, the rules say he would then be suspended for the rest of the season.

"Definitely, [the suspension] is going to affect us. Yosef's a really strong player. He really goes to the ball, he's definitely a key in our scoring opportunities, so were just going to have to fill that void," said Wildcat senior defender/midfielder Andy Divers.
