Ten Mount Si throwers braved the rain and cold to compete at the Olympia Throwers' Showcase last weekend in Olympia. After six hours of grueling, bone-chilling competitions consisting of hurling sharp, heavy objects with extreme force skyward, three Wildcats came home with excellent places.

Senior and returning state qualifier Alex Grazda finished fourth in the javelin and ninth in the discus. Another returning state qualifier, senior Shannon Posey, finished third in the javelin and sixth in the discus. Senior Stefan Marth produced a sixth-place finish in the javelin.
