Wildcat track and field looking for success in postseason

The Mount Si boys' and girls' track and field teams are headed into the postseason looking to make major impacts.
The boys have had a great year, and their recent strong finish at one of the top nonleague boys' meets in the region has them thinking about a long postseason run.
The Wildcat boys finished fourth at the Shoreline Invitational April 28 behind the excellent performances of several athletes. Josh Davis took fourth in the discus with a throw of 157 feet, 10 inches, a personal best that was also the fourth best in Mount Si school history. Frank McLaughlin ran a time of 50.51 seconds in the 400 meters to take fourth place, a personal best for him, and he finished sixth in the 200 meters. In addition, Keith Keller won the javelin competition. Those results, along with a number of other strong showings, have Mount Si thinking big.
"Well, with the way things have gone, I think we've kind of put ourselves in the running for the Kingco championship, which is kind of a surprise," said boys' coach Chris Jackson.
